Exporting a nice GeoGebra graph template

for use in a test or handout.

One of the nice features of GeoGebra is that it lets us create nice graphics and export them for use in Word or our other favorite word processor.

We start with a blank GeoGebra window.

Use the Move tool to line up the graph window.

Control click to the drawing pad to be able to select the drawing pad controls

Select the grid tab, make the color black (better for printers), turn the grid on, set the grid distance to 1.

Select close. We now have nice graph paper.

From the menu bar, select the file menu, then “Export”, then “Graphics View as Picture”.

Choose the file type. (I like png.)

Put the file where you can find it.

Add the file to your favorite word document.

We can use the same method to export graph paper with objects and notes.

Question: Mike, why do you like .png? What is the advantage? (Elisse Ghitelman)
