Introductory activities

Page history last edited by Russell Blyth 12 years, 9 months ago

For the preliminary phase of the workshop there are a number of activities you should complete to get up to speed and be ready for the workshop:

  1. Request access to this wiki.  (You should see a button to do this in the upper right corner of your screen.)
  2. Set up a personal page and give a brief introduction.  Of particular interest might be courses that you anticipate using GeoGebra in during the coming year.
  3. Download the current version of GeoGebra (3.2) on your machine, fire it up and play a bit.
  4. Look at some of the collections of applets and activities for GeoGebra and explore a bit.  Find at least one applet or activity that you like, put the url on your personal page and write a sentence or two of explanation about what it does.
  5. Download the beta version (3.9 in anticipation of 4.0) of GeoGebra.
  6. Prepare for the follow-up portion of the workshop.  For this portion you will be expected to produce at least one GeoGebra activity each semester and post it to the wiki.  You are also to identify another teacher to whom you will introduce GeoGebra during the upcoming year.  Start planning possible classes and people.
